Top 16 Songs of 2016

Like I said couple of years back Naija music has improved seriously though it’s now like the Nollywood of those days where a movie is released everyday and 3 times on Sunday. To stay relevant in the Nigerian music scene you have to release a 7/10 rated single every other day or feature in the song of an A-list artist (my opinion). I have not listened to too many songs but the ones I have listened to I listened to them a lot.
For the first time in about 3 years I am going to start my top songs of the year without Olamide Baddo headlining the list. He didn’t even make the top 5 of my list but trust me he’s still my favourite Nigerian rapper and not that he didn’t drop tight jams this year, he has done well this year and for someone that has released an album every year over the last 5 years, he oozes consistency.

As always I expect this list to be rubbished (lol) but these songs always got me going.
