Day 146 of 365: I saw all 61 GAMES!!!

I have been trying to watch all Manchester United games in a single season for years now and I came close over the last 3 seasons. I missed 4 games in the 2017/18 season, 2 games in the 2018/19 season and 1 match in the 2019/20 season. This current season which officially ended for the Red Devils today in the Europa League final against Villareal was different.

I saw all 61 games involving my beloved Manchester United this season. The Europa League games were a tad bit difficult because I had to stream them and it was usually seconds behind or buffered but hey its what I signed up for. I didn’t think it was worth it to invest on a Star Times decoder because honestly I didn’t expect my team to make it to the final.

I don’t like the Europa League because of the travelling involved and it is played on Thursdays which affects the players because they have less than 48 hours to rest before they play in the league.

Anyway in a keenly contested tie, Villareal kept their nerve to win the game via penalties (11:10) after the game ended 1:1 in regulation time. They sure deserved the win and their coach Unai Emery proved to the world why he’s the King of the Europa League. I think the tourney should just be named after him with 4 final wins in the tournament.

Again I saw all Manchester United’s 61 games this season and sadly they lost the most important one.

CHEERS!!!
