during the Formula One Grand Prix of Mexico at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on October 29, 2017 in Mexico City, Mexico.

Yes I know it’s been a while, please forgive me.
Lewis Hamilton’s 9th place finish at the Mexican Grand Prix on Sunday 29th October, 2017 handed him his 4th Championship title with two races to spare. Despite a horrible start at the Gran Premio De Mexico which saw him get a punctured tyre from title rival Sebastian Vettel and dropping to last in the race just at the first lap, Lewis pushed through against all odds knowing fully well he needed to come in 5th or better if Vettel won in Mexico to assure him of a 4th title. End of the race saw Vettel come in 5th and Hamilton 9th which means the latter need not appear for the final 2 races of the season as his place in the history books was been sealed. Hamilton has now emerged as the greatest British Formula 1 driver ever winning one title more than Sir Jackie Stewart and he’s just 32 years old. A knighthood in the offing for Messr Hamilton? He sure deserves it.
Lewis Hamilton needs 3 more titles to level with all-time great Michael Schumacher who has 7 and 4 to seal his name as the best to ever do it. Would challenges from Sebastian Vettel or even Hamilton’s Mercedes team mate Valteri Bottas be brushed aside easily? Only time will tell.
Cristiano Ronaldo was crowned best player in the world by FIFA with perennial rival, Lionel Messi coming second and P.S.G new recruit Neymar Junior nicking the third position. Ronaldo winning was a no-brainer to say the least because his achievements with Real Madrid during the course of the year were always going to guarantee him the top prize. He was instrumental to Real Madrid retaining the UEFA Champions league trophy and also winning the Spanish La Liga. He also won the Spanish Super Cup (though he was red carded in the first leg) where Real beat Barcelona 5-1 on aggregate to confirm their domestic superiority.  He was part of the team that denied his former team (Manchester United) from winning the UEFA Super Cup though he came in as an 80th minute substitute.  He has always led the scoring for Real Madrid and has been part of the squad that has helped coach Zinedine Zidane (was also named coach of the year) win 6 out of 8 trophies on offer since the French man took over the reins in 2016.

I hope Ronaldo wins the Balon D’or and levels with Messi on 5 apiece and I think it is high time they stopped considering both of them for the title. Shout out to Olivier Giroud on winning the Puskas award for best goal, because Arsenal fans no go gree me hear word now. The FIFA XI comprised of Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus), Marcelo (Real Madrid), Leonardo Bonucci (formerly of Juventus, now reps AC Milan), Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid), Dani Alves (played for Juventus at the time but now with P.S.G),  Andreas Iniesta (Barcelona), Luka Modric (Real Madrid), Toni Kroos (Real Madrid), Neymar Junior (ex-Barcelona now plays for PSG), Lionel Messi (Barcelona) and best player in the World Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid).
The English U-17 football team capped a remarkable year for England winning the World Cup in India beating Spain 5-2 in the final.

Earlier on in the year they were runners-up in the UEFA U-17 Euro tourney, won the UEFA U-19 Euro Cup, surprisingly triumphed at the FIFA U-20 World Cup, placed 3rd at UEFA U-21 Euro tournament, prevailed at the Toulon competition before adding the U-17 World Cup to their list of achievements in 2017. One can only pray for the senior male and female teams to emulate them.

Thank you for your time guys and may the rest of the year favour us. Happy New Month in Advance………………………… BLESS!!!
