The Gunners have been far from impressive in recent weeks after a relatively good start to the season. They have been knocked out of the Capital One cup, FA cup and come March 13th, 2013 they could be out of the Champions league leaving them with no chance of a silverware for the 8th consecutive year running. I admire the patience the Arsenal board have with Arsene Wenger, who wouldn’t be patient when the account balance of the team is always in credit but the fans are livid. I saw the Bayern game yesterday and whilst the game was on Ponche, yea my man Ponche came to mind. He must have been raining curses on the Gaffer. I have known Ponche for 7 years and he has had no cause to celebrate a trophy with Assnal since I met him, oh maybe the Emirates cup (Lmao).
This Arsenal squad is filled with talents no doubt and I so much admire Jack Wilshere (amazing player) and Theo Walcott who never used to be a fan’s favourite until recently. These lads have pledged their long term future to the club. The question is will they stay for long if the team continues with this barren run of not winning a major trophy (even Capital one cup has become a major trophy in England these days)? Now to the defence of Mssr Wenger, the fans want him to sign big name players, spend a lot more money and all but we should remember that certain teams like Man City, Real Madrid, Anzhi and Zenit have not recouped the millions spent on the so called big players. It is not my business whatever might be going on at Arsenal, if they like they could get relegated for all I care. They haven’t been a threat to my beloved Manchester United in a long while *tongue out*. Anyway you Arsenal fans should relax, Nigerians waited 19 years before the Super Eagles could win the Nations cup again. You guys have done just 8years.
I remember when Shitty beat us 6-1 last season and my Assnal friends taunted me, it felt like the end of the world. So Assnal why always B (Bradford, Blackburn and Bayern)? These three teams have knocked Arsenal out of the Capital One cup, FA cup and Champjons league respectively. Did I hear someone say Assnal isn’t out of the Champions league just yet? In my books they are, yes let Madrid beat us. I couldn’t help but laugh when my Arsenal friend put “I rep North London” up as his personal message on his blackberry. I guess he is tilting towards their London rivals (Spurs). I also read this elsewhere “that awkward moment when you type trophyless inside the google search box and the result shows Arsenal”, hehehehe.
My Arsenal people please don’t be mad at me, I promise to throw banters at some other teams. As for the rest of you it’s always funny till you are next.
A.C Milan hosts Barcelona in a must see game tonight. My predictions? They could both lose for all I care (hope senior bro won’t be reading, hahahaha). Good to have Drogba back in the Champions league. He would be playing for Galatasaray against Schalke tonight.
