The Loss to the Baggies

The English Premier league had literally been wrapped up in December, judging by the point gap between Manchester City who sat pretty atop since September and the other teams who are now left jostling round the remaining spots to make up the top 4.
The visit of West Bromwich Albion to Old Trafford meant one of 2 things; either West Brom beat Manchester United and handed Manchester City the Premier League title or United beat the Baggies and extended City’s wait at ascending the English throne. Nobody expected Manchester United to lose to West Brom after a spirited comeback against City last weekend.
I was not expecting to catch the game because I lost an aunt and I had to take a trip out of town, so I thought I would be in transit while the game was on. Interestingly I got back to town few minutes before kick-off. Good timing especially when you go out with people who are always time conscious. I was not happy with the line-up I mean this is West Brom and with the rumours flying round that Anthony Martial might be sold in the summer I think the young French man should have started the game and Marcus Rashford too.
There was nothing good about United’s display on the day well except they had more of the ball but asides that it was a dreadful performance from the Jose Mourinho led side. West Bromwich Albion despite close to dropping into the English Championship won the game 1 nil.

The goal scored by Jay Rodriguez was from a corner in the 73rd minute making it 2 games unbeaten for the Baggies’ caretaker manager Darren Moore.

Congratulations to Manchester City on winning their 3rd Premier League title in 6 years.
Manchester United face an uphill task of sealing second spot on the log with Liverpool and Tottenham waiting to pounce on any more slip ups.
We face Bournemouth on Wednesday night at the Vitality Stadium.

Thanks for your time guys and enjoy the rest of the week. BLESS !!!
