Red Devils Pick 3 Vital Points At The Vitality Stadium

Few years ago a fixture against a team in the Bournemouth mold would have been regarded as a walk over for the Red Devils but these days nothing is assured when it comes to my beloved Manchester United. The Cherries hosted Man Utd in the early kick of today’s fixtures and I was sincerely praying for 3 points, because the distance between the top 4 teams and United is quite embarrassing for me as a fan. Before game day Bournemouth had a decent run of 3 wins and and a draw in the league and were 6th on the table in what has been their best start to a Premier League with United also sharing similar form over the last four league games.

United kicked the game off at the Vitality Stadium but it was Bournemouth who was doing most of the playing and were rewarded in the 11th minute through their in form striker Callum Wilson. Wilson connected with Junior Stanilas’ cross to bag his 6th goal of the season.

The Cherries kept mounting the pressure but it was United that would get a goal from a quick break led by Ashley Young who put the ball in Alexis Sanchez’s path to lay a pass for Anthony Martial to score his 5th goal in 4 consecutive league games and level scores at 1-1. Juan Mata almost put the Red Devils ahead but he hit his effort wide.

First half ended 1-1.

United came back stronger and better in the second half and came close on a couple of occasions but it looked like Bournemouth despite also trying to get a winner were going to be contented with a draw. The game was evenly balanced at this point, but Paul Pogba had other ideas and his only meaningful contribution during the game led to substitute Marcus Rashford’s goal and winner in the second minute of added time. It was the young Englishman’s first goal for the Red Devils in over 10 games.

2-1 the game ended in Manchester United’s favour, but wait who is that David Brooks guy? Dude was all over the place and very effective for the Cherries. I really didn’t think United deserved to draw the game let alone win but hey 3 points in the bag for my beloved team. We MOVE!!!

Next up for United is a Champions League tie against Juventus in Turin on Wednesday 7th of November, 2018 before the Manchester Derby against city rivals Manchester City at the Etihad stadium on Sunday the 11th.

Thanks for your time guys. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, BLESS!!!
