Newcastle and Bayern

The Friday before the Newcastle game is a day I will not forget in a hurry. It was the 4th of April, 2014. A colleague asked if we could beat Newcastle and I said yes without thinking twice. A barrage of voices responded saying if Newcastle beat us they would frustrate me with taunts and banters. What did I say in return? I confidently said ‘the season Newcastle beats Manchester United home and away is the season I will cease to be a Manchester United fan’. What was the final result? 4-0 in favour of my beloved Man Utd. We didn’t have Rooney on the day but it didn’t Mata cos Mata stepped up. Oh Kagawa, player toh bahd and Adnan Januzaj baller of life. Quote me anywhere ‘Aston Villa and Newcastle (two of my favourite English teams after Man Utd) will never beat my Manchester United home and away’. My boys looked prepared for the Bayern Munich game, well so I thought.
Bayern looked beatable because we managed to play a 1-1 draw with them in the first leg. They eventually beat Man Utd 3-1 to qualify for the semi-finals of the Champions League 4-2 on aggregate. Kagawa again was brilliant. It was sad to lose out but that Bayern side is currently the best side in Europe. The Champions league semi-final match-up pairs 9 time Champions Real Madrid against Bayern Munich and Chelsea is up against Atheletico Madrid in the other tie. My prediction? I Would want to see Real Madrid come up against Chelsea or Atheletico Madrid in the final.
Back to the EPL, as the race for the title hots up so is the final Champions League spot. Everton is slugging it out with Assnal. Everton is currently 4th and I hope it remains so. Yea I don’t want Arsenal to make it to the UCL. Beef, ponmo, kidney, inu eran, whatever.
