Merseyside Takeover

3 straight draws clearly spelt a dip in form for Manchester United. I won’t play the congested fixture card for this afterall this is not the first time football is played over the festive period. Everton played host to my beloved Red Devils at Merseyside and they were hoping to put the misery of losing to Bournemouth behind them. The Toffees had lost 4 – 0 to Man United earlier on in the season with Antonio Valencia scoring a potential goal of the season, Henrik Mkhitaryan was amongst the goals, Romelu Lukaku also bagged a goal against his old team and Anthony Martial wrapped up the rout with a penalty.
My team’s form was a bit of a concern for me but my football superstitions made me believe the game against Everton was winnable. I just had the itch of assured victory before kick off and I was not let down. Paul Pogba put up a lovely display to lead the Red Devils to a 2 nil victory.
Next up for the lads is the FA Cup tie against Derby County.
