Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea have all splashed the cash to bring in these three top class forwards but who will score the most goals in the upcoming season?
The three strikers are well known for their goal scoring abilities and they have some interesting numbers to back them up but it can’t be guaranteed that they will deliver for their new clubs. They have shown us a little bit of what they are capable of in pre-season and in comparison of the three strikers it is Lukaku-3 goals, Lacazette-2 goals and Morata no goal. Not that this matters though.
This is how they rank in ascending order
3. Alvaro Morata
He has a good goals per game ratio but adjusting to life in the premier league and playing for a team like Chelsea might not see him score as many goals as expected. Chelsea is not the most creative team in the world and their strikers are not always supplied because of their “main man” Eden Hazard. There’s a likelihood that Morata will be deployed on the flanks at one point or the other in the season which might affect his goal scoring chances. He will have to take every chance he gets if he is to move up this list anytime soon.
2. Alexandre Lacazette
The man who just recently scored his first goal for Arsenal at the Emirates has all the cards in his pockets and it’s all left to him to use them. This is a player who is known to be lethal in front of goal as his 37 goals for Lyon last season speak for him. He’s going to have all the supply in the world from players like Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez (if he stays), Ramsey, Chamberlain and many more. Arsenal is a team that creates a lot of chances every game and manager Arsene Wenger enjoys when the team plays for the striker. It’ll be up to him to make a statement in the league because he has just about everything he needs to do that.
1. Romelu Lukaku
The strong Belgian tops this list mostly because of his vast experience in the league and his goal record in the league also. Looking at the United squad at the moment (bearing the in mind the addition of Nemanja Matic) they are looking stronger everyday. United currently boast a rich vein of attacking talent that can create goals for Lukaku and he has shown that he might not need much time to settle in at OT. With wonderful passes flying in from all angles and Lukaku as the main man, you can be assured of a lot of goals. He still has work to do on his link up play by the way.
It’s going to be an exciting season and be rest assured that these three strikers and many more will light up the Premier League.
