Fergie Time, The Barca Loss and The Super Eagles

We (Man Utd) were run ragged by a Spurs side I admire so much. Yeah they are the pride of London. The only London side to beat us this season. On Saturday I told one of my buddies we weren’t losing to Spurs and the worse that could happen was a draw. Despite taking the lead thanks to the usual suspect (RVP), I was forced to sit at the edge of my sit all through the game because those Spurs players were seriously outplaying the Red Devils. They kept attacking our defence like they were playing against 13 year olds. Thanks to Vidic and Ferdinand and most especially Degea, we for chop 8 goals o. When I thought we had won the game (obviously on the stroke of 90 minutes I was already confident of victory), the fourth official signaled 3 minutes extra time and I was smiling. Alas we were paid in our own coin. A Clint Dempsey goal (Fergie time, hahahahaha) in the 92 minute killed my JOY. We were the masters of the late goal drama, how did we let this happen to us? 1-1 the game ended. Anyway we are still 5 points ahead of Shitty who beat Fulham 2 nil the day before.
Chelsea has done the double over Assnal. They beat the otaless (empty canon) Gunners 2-1. Thumbs up to Walcott though, he scored Arsenal’s only goal. All my Arsenal friends that didn’t like the guy have been singing  his praises. 15 goals this season already? Theo? Awesome. Newcastle has to be the fall hand team of the weekend. Losing 1-2 at home to Reading. They (Newcastle) can only boast of 3 victories in their last 18 league matches. Liverpool back to winning ways beating Norwich 5 nil. Wigan losing 2-3 to Sunderland at home. Man Utd’s Angelo Henriquez who is on loan to Wigan scored the second goal for the Lactics. QPR’S new signing Loic Remy scored on his debut in the 1-1 draw with Westham.
Barcelona finally lost their first league game this season *tongue out*. It was kinda shocking though. Thought they were gonna break Juve’s 49 game unbeaten record.  Arsenal also own that record? My bad. Barca were two goals up and Real Sociedad came back to win 3-2. Real Madrid thrashed Valencia 5-0 at the Metstalla (Man Utd be afraid, be very afraid). Athletico Madrid also beat Levante 2-0 and are now 8 points behind Barca.
The Super Eagles looked super in the first half. A close friend of mind was furious at Yobo though. He said ‘Dipo its not a must Keshi starts the captain’. I understand where he was coming from because he made two costly errors. They didn’t lead to Nigeria conceding goals but the most experienced player in the team is not permitted to make such school boy errors. I was shocked when I didn’t see Ike Uche and Victor Moses in the starting line up. The boys impressed me in the first half they didn’t just take their chances. I must point out that Efe Ambrose’s red card was harsh. The officiating in this tournament hasn’t been good so far o jare. Poor defending cost us all 3 points. Just before the Burkinabes equalized, I was thinking the Eagles would run the clock down by keeping possession rather than chase a 2nd goal. Lo and behold, the ball was lost needlessly and the boys from Ougadogou took advantage of our sloppy defending to score a late goal. I hope lessons have been learnt though. Nosa Igiebor however didn’t let me down. He was the man of the match from the Eagles side.
I wish the Eagles all the best against Zambia and hope we get a victory when we play the Chipolopolo.
