I have always told my friends that I’d rather watch a Nigerian movie at the cinema ahead of a Hollywood flick. The first Nollywood movie I saw at the cinema was Ije which featured Omotola Jalade and Genevieve Nnaji. Two of my favourite Naija actresses at the time.
It was just after NYSC I went to watch it with one babe like that. Fine girl but choi, skoin skoin dey. Stan, Sao Paulo and Breschiano my guys never liked her. Anyway we didn’t get to date as Aberdeen happened to me. Thats that as far as that is concerned.
Was Ije a good movie? I guess it was, I mean by Naija standard it was relatively okay and hey it was a cinema flick. 5/10.
