Yesterday it was England that disappointed me after playing out a goalless draw with Scotland. It was understandable I guess, it was some sort of derby and you what they say about derbies. The form book is usually thrown out of the window. I however expected the two other teams (France and Portugal) I was rooting for to make up for the English team’s performance today.
France started off by playing a 1:1 draw with Hungary which meant there’s all to play for when they meet Portugal on Wednesday night. Portugal lost 4:2 to Germany this evening and now Group F which houses France, Germany, Portugal and Hungary is thrown wide open as the teams have 4, 3, 3 and 1 points respectively.
The bright side for me was that Cristiano Ronaldo scored one of Portugal’s goals against Germany to move 2 goals closer to Ali Daei’s record of 109 international goals.
CHEERS!!!
