After his semifinal win over Rafael Nadal on Friday night, I was so sure Novak Djokovic was going to win the French Open. I mean who was Stefanos Tsitsipas in the scheme of things.
The final day came and it was looking like Tsitsipas was going to prove me wrong by racing to a 2 set lead (7:6, 6:2). I could not even focus on the game because I was also following the England versus Croatia game and needed England to win badly, which they did by a lone goal scored by Raheem Sterling.
Anyway, Djokovic eventually won the game taking the final 3 sets (6:3, 6:2, 6:4) claiming his 19th Grand Slam Title in the process. He is now one behind both Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.
