Had to be at 3 different functions today. My brother was a year older today, my friend was getting married and my Radio Program too was on the agenda. They were taking place in Lekki, Ikeja and Akoka respectively. Waking up this morning, I didn’t have a plan but I knew in my heart of hearts I would be at all 3 events.
My brother is special, I mean my Blood so there was no way I wouldn’t stop by at his place after his invitation. My guy Mr. Banks had come to meet me at home specially about his wedding and my Radio Program is one of the best things to have happened to me so I always take it seriously.
I went to my brother’s place first and let’s forget about the meal and drinks for a second. The welcome I got from my niece and nephew nearly brought tears to my eyes. After screaming Uncle Dipo, they followed with we have missed you. It pierced my soul. I had not seen them this year. Oh my the food was heavenly and the Hennessy tasted great with the rocks. I left Lekki at 4pm and headed to Unilag FM for my program. That was a ball too as we had a lot to talk about.
After my program at 6pm, I headed to Ikeja GRA for my guy’s wedding. It was great seeing old friends again. And oh one lady made me blush. She was eyeing me as her friend kept gisting with me. Her friend and I were neighbours when I used to stay in Cameroon, sorry Ajah. So my former neighbour harassed me to dance and I was like I don’t know how to dance. I eventually made a fool of myself by wiggling then after a while my neighbour’s friend walked up to me and shook my hand telling me she loved my height.
Anyway it was a good day for me. I was able to touch all 3 events and I had fun.
