The Visit to Lancashire

Beating Burnley FC has become such an arduous task over the past couple of years. The visit to the Lancashire base of Burnley FC was something I was not looking forward to especially after coming from 2 goals down to draw against them on Boxing Day. I still cannot get over that result because it felt more or less like a loss and Manchester City were coasting to the title.
I was torn between watching the game or going out even though it was not compulsory I left the house. I settled for going out ahead of watching my beloved Manchester United team play. I saw the team sheet before going out and I was not particularly happy about Luke Shaw being dropped after playing really well over the last 5 games. 32 year old Ashley Young was brought on to replace the 22 year old Shaw. It’s quite understandable because Young had been playing the left back/left wing back  role regularly all season long. So I set out 20 minutes before the game started trying not to think about it but who was I fooling.

I decided to stream the game online and after searching for links all over without success I decided to watch via Facebook. It was the worst thing ever. It just kept buffering that I had to close the page and follow the game via Naija Pundits live. Yea Naija Pundits is a group I belong to on whatsapp. So the games (the Arsenal versus Crystal game too) were being discussed and analysed. Nothing beats watching the game live to be honest and even though United beat the Clarets by a solitary Anthony Martial strike I still think our attack lacks a bit of bite.

With what I heard about the game it was a below average performance by Man Utd. However, the 3 points was key. We move on.
Next up for the Red Devils is a trip Yeovil Town for an FA Cup fourth round tie.
Have a fab week guys.
