Romelu Lukaku's Century

The international break took the pressure off the European football league for a bit. National team duty was the order of the day over the past week as friendly matches were played across the globe in preparation for the Russia 2018 World Cup. A few games caught my eye during this break with England against Netherlands and England versus Italy topping the bill. I also followed keenly the Brazil versus Germany game not forgetting France against Russia and Nigeria versus Serbia.
Glad to have the Premier League back. I was bracing myself for the Man Utd versus Swansea game and Liverpool’s win over Crystal Palace meant United had to win to hold on to 2nd place on the log. The Swans didn’t pose much of a threat because the Red Devils got all 3 points with a 2 nil win though both goals were scored by Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez in the first half. Lukaku’s goal meant he has scored 100 Premier League goals and the youngest foreign player to achieve that feat in Premier League history.
David De Gea however must take credit for the clean sheet with great saves in the second half after being some sort a spectator in the first 45 minutes.

Alexis Sanchez was named man of the match.
The win also ensures that Manchester City will not be winning the league before the Manchester derby this coming weekend which exonerates Manchester United of giving a guard of honour to the Champions elect.
Thanks for your time guys.
Happy Easter !!!
