My footie weekend

Hi guys, been a minute y’all heard from me right? So sorry about the break. I didn’t mean to take off like that. Hope you guys had a fab weekend? Mine was kinda complicated though, but glad it’s gone by.
Man Utd my second religion came close to giving me high bp on Saturday afternoon. We were playing Stoke City on the day and before the game I was confident of victory despite the fact that we haven’t been playing well since the season started. Come on its Stoke City nah, they wouldn’t be a tough nut to crack. I saw the game with my colleagues at a joint and the game had started before we got there. The Staffordshire side had taken the lead before we were seated through Peter Crouch. We were playing at home and it didn’t look like it. Jibes were thrown at me and my other Utd friends. It was already looking like one of those days where we would be beaten black and blue. Our saving grace was De Donut (De Gea), making point blank saves, saves you could only imagine. These saves kept us in the game and at least gave us some hope.
The Red Devils however got a deserved equalizer through Robin Van Persie and before I could settle down after celebrating the goal Stoke scored another via a lovely free kick. It was the 1st free kick United had conceded at home since 2011. Yeye record. We went into the break behind but I was still hopeful of at least a draw.
The second half kicked off with Manchester United playing more purposeful footie and looking dangerous. The goal refused to come and Stoke City switched the tempo at some point too and kept me at the edge of my seat during their moments. Rooney however calmed my nerves with an equalizer and I was asking for more. The 3points were vital if we are make the top 4 come May 2014.
Alas the Little Pea aka Chicharito aka Javier Hernandez lived up to his super sub tag and scored to give us the lead and eventually seal all 3 points for the Red Devils. Though we were lucky to still have him on the pitch as he was close to being sent off for a rash challenge on Robert Huth just seconds after coming on as a sub.
We won which was what was important to me even though we are still languishing in 8th position but this 3 points garnered could be a confidence booster for the lads hopefully. My man of the match obviously was David De Gea because we would have been merked (beaten) if he didn’t make top quality saves.
United and Juventus were the only teams of the 5 that I support who won their respective league matches with Real Madrid losing the El-Clasico 2-1 against Barcelona even though I still think Madrid was robbed of two penalties. Villa lost 2 nil to Everton and Newcastle lost the Tyneside side derby 2-1 to Sunderland. Chelsea beat Man City in the biggest league game of the weekend in the EPL with Torres stealing the headlines for miss of the day and match winning goal though I would rate him 8/10 performance wise. Yaya Toure in one word? Monster. Joe Hart has proved to be unreliable once again and I am sure this will prompt the Man City coach to shop for a new goalie in the January transfer window. Ramsey will surely make my team of the week if I was to make a list. Another stellar performance from the lad in Assnal’s 2-0 win against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. I didn’t get to see other games but Spurs are back in their Champions league chasing spot. At the end of the weekend Arsenal maintains top spot with Chelsea 2nd, Liverpool 3rd though level on points with Chelsea but behind on goal’s difference and alphabetically. Totenham Hotspurs 4th, Southampton 5th, Everton 6th, Shitty 7th and my darling United 8th.
I have a confession, maybe not a confession. It’s some sort of revelation but you guys will have to wait for it *tongue out*.
Enjoy the rest of the week and don’t forget there are Capital One Cup games between Man Utd and Norwich with Assnal hosting Chelsea in the big game of the night…….. Stay Blessed guys, much love.
