This was a game between two of the most talented squads left in the World Cup. Pound for Pound this was an equal match up from the quality called upon to execute the game to those on the bench. This France versus Belgium semi-final tie was regarded the final before the final and just to give the English Premiership some sort of prominence, it was likened to a Chelsea versus Manchester United FA Cup final only that I was supporting the team in Blue on this one which is France.
The French kicked off the game and it was looking like a one-way traffic in the first 90 seconds with the French side looking like they would get an early goal.

Belgium were however not fazed with the way France started the game as they took control of the game afterwards and it was looking like France were going to concede a goal. Hugo Lloris proved why there aren’t many better than him making beautiful saves and Belgium’s Thibaut Courtois also was not left out of the action as he was in goal for Belgium to ensure the French did not have an opening to exploit within his goal post.
First half ended 0-0.
I was sincerely praying for France not to concede first because if Belgium scored first ,it would have been difficult for France to get back into the game. In 51st minute Samuel Umtiti jumped the highest to nod home an Antoine Griezmann corner kick to give Le Bleus a 1 nil lead.

It was looking like the Red Devils of Belgium would get an equalizer as they dominated the 2nd half but maybe luck happened to the French side which meant they held on to the 1 goal advantage, though they had chances to double their lead.
1-0 was the final score and the French team are through to the final of the 2018 World Cup. They would be meeting either England or Croatia on Sunday 15th July, 2018. I am seriously praying England scale the Croatian hurdle so I will have both the teams I support in the final though I would give an arm for England to win the trophy come Sunday.
Thanks for your time guys. BLESS !!!
