Serbia born Novak Djokovic was beaten in the final of the just concluded U.S Open, losing in straight sets of 6:4, 6:4, 6:4 to Russian second seed Daniil Medvedev. Djokovic missed out on the Super Slam after this loss. A Super Slam requires you winning all 4 major Grand Slams (Australian, French, Wimbledon and U.S Opens) in the same year. Djokovic had won the first three and looked prime to win the final Slam of the year but Medvedev was having none of it.
If Novak had won the U.S Open he would have won the most Grand Slam in tennis history. He currently remains level with Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer with 20 Grand Slam titles with Nadal edging them both with an Olympic Gold Medal.
As it stands, Rafael Nadal is the Greatest Tennis player of All-Times (G.O.A.T) but next year should be interesting. I am tipping Djokovic to win the Australian Open though.
