I still can’t explain why I love Manchester United’s attacking midfielder Jesse Lingard but my perception of him from a distance is that he is a go happy kinda guy. I was really glad when he went on loan to West Ham at the second half of last season and the impact he had with the Hammers was uber good. He scored 9 goals weighing in with 5 assists with 2 of those goals coming on his debut with the London side.
To be honest he might not get enough game time this 2021/22 season but I was glad to hear he asked to stay and fight for his place in the Manchester United squad as opposed to being sold or going on another loan spell. Today he played 90 minutes for England against Andorra and he was pure class. He scored two goals paying tribute to teammate Cristiano Ronaldo when he bagged his first of the two. He also added an assist which led to Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka goal in the game.
Again, I am a big fan of JLingz as Lingard is also called and I pray he gets playing time this season.
