Day 136 of 365: My preferred 26 to Euro 2020 (France)

The French National team also known as Les Bleus are one of 3 teams I would be rooting for at the Euro 2020 football tournament which kicks off on the 11th of June, 2021 and ends July 11, 2021. The others are Portugal and the 3 Lions of England. France have won the tournament twice (1984 and 2000), ending up as runners up in 2016 losing 1:0 to Portugal on home soil.

France however won the 2018 World Cup in Russia beating Croatia 4:2 meaning they have played in back to back finals of major tournaments or let’s say the biggest tourneys players can represent their countries in. Les Bleus no doubt are one of the favourites to win the Euro 2020 and their coach Didier Deschamps who won it as a player in 2000 has a lot of superstars in his squad.

Find below my preferred 26 players to represent France at the Euro 2020:

1. Hugo Lloris (Tottenham Hotspur)
2. Steve Mandanda (Olympique Marseille)
3. Alphonse Areola (P.S.G but on loan with Fulham)

4. Benjamin Pavard (Bayern Munich)
5. Presnel Kimpembe (P.S.G)
6. Lucas Hernandez (Bayern Munich)
7. Raphael Varane (Real Madrid)
8. Clement Lenglet (Barcelona)
9. Ferland Mendy (Real Madrid)
10. Dayot Upamecano (RB Leipzig)
11. Lucas Digne (Everton)
12. Ruben Aguilar (Monaco)

13. Paul Pogba (Manchester United)
14. N’golo Kante (Chelsea)
15. Corentin Tolisso (Bayern Munich)
16. Houssem Aouar (Lyon)
17. Adrien Rabiot (Juventus)
18. Thomas Lemar (Atletico Madrid)
19. Eduardo Camavinga (Rennes)
20. Tanguy Ndombele (Tottenham Hotspur)

21. Kylian Mbappe (P.S.G)
22. Antoine Griezmann (Barcelona)
23. Olivier Giroud (Chelsea)
24. Ousmane Dembele (Barcelona)
25. Kingsley Coman (Bayern Munich)
26. Wissam Ben Yedder (Monaco)

There you have it, my preferred 26 to Euro 2020 for France. They have the players to go one better than they did in 2016.
