359561973Keshi or Guardiola? Keshi jor, hahahahaha just joking. I must commend the Big Boss though. He has surpassed his target with this relatively unknown squad. I think he can now be fully vindicated for dropping Osaze, Martins and the other so called big boys. I was shocked he dropped Martins though because in was in form just before Keshi announced his provisional squad, but Osaze’s attitude was good enough reason for him being dropped. As for Osaze if he was a model professional he would have been selected for the AFCON and he wouldn’t have taken that 2 hour trip to London from Birmingham. If you recollect the transfer controversy he had. Anyway like they say the idle mind is he devil’s workshop.
The Super Eagles coach was quoted before the tournament saying “this present squad was better than the Tunisia 1994 triumphant one”. When he was asked again if the squad was better than the 1994 team he said “it took 5 years to build the 1994 team and the present crop of players have only been together for 5 weeks”. Sunday will judge. The Super Eagles of Nigeria squared up against the Eagles of Mali in the first semi-final of the AFCON 2013. I wonder how just ordinary Eagles wan take beat Super Eagles, shior. The Super Eagles had already won this game on paper quite frankly after the display of our boys against Ivory Coast on Sunday. The only issue I had was the tackling and our backline but going forward we were unstoppable.
Victor Moses and Mikel Obi came prepared for this game and so did Brown Ideye and my man of the tournament Mike Emenike (Igiebor don too fall my hand). The Eagles of Mali were limited to two chances in the first half while Naija should have scored at least 5 goals going into the break. Well the Super Eagles scored 3. Mikel really impressed me with his pin point passes. You would think we had a Scholes, Xavi or Iniesta in the team. Moses was having a field day, taking on the Malian wing backs like they didn’t turn up. Ideye and Emenike harassed the Malian central defense at will. Nigeria had a 3 nil lead going into break with goals from Elderson Echiejile, Brown Ideye and a deflected shot by Mike Emenike (mind you if it was the EPL it would have gone down as a Sissoko own goal). It was game over for Mali in my books.
The second half kicked off with Malians acting like they could come back. Awon oni ranu (nonsense people). Nigeria however got a fourth goal through Ahmed Musa who had come on for the injured Moses (hope e go make final o). Respite came for the Malians later on in the game when they put one past Enyeama to make scores 4-1. The game ended 4-1 and the Super Eagles are through to their 7th AFCON final.

Olamide YBNL should go back to the studio o and take back his lines, if you remember or heard what he said in the Ghost mode track where Phyno featured him “other rappers be like Naija dem no dey reach final”. Well Naija don reach final and the so called Super Chickens have been renamed SUPER EAGLES once again plus $20,000 for each of the players.
Big ups to Stephen Okechukwu Keshi aka The Big Boss as he inches closer to being the second person to play for and coach a team to Nations cup glory. Emenike is going to be top scorer and yes I did watch the game on my Walka 7. The winning streak continues both for the Super Eagles and Man Utd. Oh England is still my number 1 national team o, but I will keep supporting Nigeria as long as Keshi is there. I would have loved if it was Keshi and Siasia that were handling the team though.
Congrats to the Super Eagles and I am sure the lads will be African champions once again come Sunday 10th February, 2013.
Thanks for reading………………………………………. BLESS!!!
